d100 Mundane Magical Objects in Loria
A hundred things someone left behind.
A list of magical items that never made it into the legends.
You won’t find these in vaults or vault-breaking adventures. These are keepsakes, curses, and half-spells—left behind on nightstands, buried beneath roots, or handed over by someone who thought you looked like you needed something. Most are harmless. A few aren’t. Many have forgotten what they’re for.
They are not powerful. But they are specific.
And like many things in Loria, they might remember you longer than you remember them.
“Not everything left behind was meant to be found.
Not everything found is meant to be used.”
—Griswold Cain
When to Roll on This Table:
- You found a burlap sack buried beneath a willow tree. It's still damp inside.
- A traveling merchant named Vindle says he'll trade you one mystery trinket for a secret.
- The party looted a rusted lockbox under the floorboards of an old cottage. It smells like cloves.
- A dreaming god sneezed into the material plane. These are what landed.
- Your character reached into a mimic’s gullet and pulled something out.
- An old woman asked you to clean her attic. You found a box labeled “DON’T BRING BACK.”
- You knocked over a shrine to something forgotten. It forgave you, and left you a gift.
- You died. Briefly. This was in your pocket when you came back.
- Or.. whatever you want! :)
